ZIMBABWE’S top golfer, Scott Vincent is up to number seven in the Japan Golf Tour rankings after two wins and several top 10 finishes.

The Olympian continues his ascent on the back of strong performances in tournaments on the tour including two victories. Vincent won the Ana Open Golf Championships in September as well as the Sansan KBC Augusta, backing up the two tour wins on the Japan Golf Tour this year with a solid effort at the Tokai Classic where he finished an impressive fifth.

The 29-year-old has a scoring average of 70.34, a putting average of 1.7554, birdie average of 4.12, and a driving accuracy of 55.58. His average driving distance is a solid 299.52 meters and has scored 6.91 of his eagles while also playing 87.65% par or better.

Meanwhile, he is currently taking part in the Golf Nippon Series JT Cup where he struggling for form and is joint 25th after the first round after he carded 73. He is joined by local Ryuko Tokimatsu and Chan Kim in 25th position.

Vincent is 8 shots off the pace with another local, Jinichiro Kozuma shooting 65 to take a one-shot lead over Yusaku Miyazato who carded 66.
