Former Premier Netball League side Goldreef Queens has joined rival league- Rainbow Netball League.

This development was confirmed after RANL  released its latest fixtures which is featuring Goldreef.

They will be playing defending champions, Glow and Khami Queens at Girls College in Bulawayo on Saturday.

Goldreef was amongst the first team to leave RANL after the formation of another breakaway league-PNL- last year.

However the romance ended pretty soon with the chairperson of the league Thabiso Mokoena who is also the clubs owner resigned from her position as the boss of PNL.

The Bulawayo-based outfit pulled out of the registered league a few days before the start of the season citing financial reasons.

Goldreef had a decent season under PNL. The team  finished second during the PNL launch tournament which was held at White City Stadium, Bulawayo.

They also finished on position in position seven with 31 wins in 40 matches they played.

PNL was formed last year and registered with the Zimbabwe Netball Association.

After its successful registration, a number of teams jumped ship from RANL which is still yet to be registered.
