The Zimbabwe Olympic Committee (ZOC) will hold its annual general meeting at Rainbow Towers Hotel on Sunday.

In a notice sent to stakeholders  29 national sports associations affiliated to ZOC will make up the congress.

“”Federations in good standing will have voting powers on issues and motions moved during the AGM. This will be the first meeting under the Thabani Gonye-led board who came into position at the elective 2021 annual general congress.  The President will deliver a keynote address highlighting critical milestones since April 2021 and on the work done under the new Strategic Plan which came into effect in September 2021.

“ The ZOC 2021-2025 Strategic Plan focuses on four key performance areas of Athlete Development and Support, Organizational Effectiveness and Sustainability, Business Development and Olympism and Olympic Education,” said the  Secretary- General Stephen Mudawarima.

Mudawarima will present a report on the organisation’s activities from April 2021 to last month.

The audited 2021 accounts will be delivered by the treasurer Godfrey Sunguro.

The ZOC Forum returns after a three-year absence to enhance the meeting.

It is set for Prince Edward High School on Saturday.

The forum is an educative and interactive platform for ZOC and national associations  to discuss critical issues with commissioners Ringi Mapondera, Merit Munzvembiri, Cuthbert Nyasango, Ricky Fulton and Cee Nyamayedenga will present papers on a variety of related subjects.

At the same function ZOC is to sign a four-year working MOU with the Zimbabwe National Paralympic Committee (ZNPC).
